Support Helen Cranmer After Losing her Home to the LA fire

My name is Jack Moran, and I am the grandson of Helen Cranmer. I am starting this Go Fund Me page to help support my grandma rebuild her life after the devastating Palisades fire.

On January 7, 2025, my grandmother's house burned down, leaving nothing behind. She left soon after the evacuation order and could flee safely with her dog (Thank God). However, soon after evacuating, the fire destroyed everything she owned.

Helen had a lifelong career as a music teacher in an elementary school (The John Thomas Dye School). She also volunteered weekly at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, helping patients in the emergency department. My grandmother also volunteered at the Self Realization Fellowship (Lake Shrine). Her home was also the setting of hundreds of piano lessons over 25 years; she taught kids as young as five years old in her dining room.

She purchased the home in 1978 and she planned on spending the remainder of her retirement there. This home meant a lot to our family and it was the setting of so many of our long-lasting memories.

We're deeply grateful that she is safe, but starting over from scratch is very challenging. Many people have asked my family how they can help, so I thought about starting this GoFundMe site.

Any donation amount will help her get back on her feet. No contribution is too small, and every dollar will mean the world to her.

The funds will be used for:

Clothing, shoes.

Rent.

Food/Groceries.

Pet Food and supplies.

Transportation costs.

Medical expenses.
