Support Helana Weaver's YWAM Missionary Journey
Donation protected
My name is Helana Weaver,
and I have spent my life singing, dancing, and spending time with the people I love most. I recently decided to graduate a year early, leave the people I love most behind, and attend YWAM (youth with a Mission) DTS. This Discipleship training school consists of a three-month learning and discipleship period, during which the other three months are spent spreading the love of Jesus in another nation. As a junior in high school who had only expected to graduate on time like every other typical teenager, God has called me elsewhere. I never thought I would have an opportunity to do something so amazing like this, but God has shown me His goodness and faithfulness time and time again.
Backstory:
Missions have been close to my heart since the summer of 2022 when I traveled to Africa with my mom on my first mission trip. There, we gave people solar-powered lights to replace the dangerous kerosene lamps that had caused thousands of deaths. In 2024, I traveled to the Dominican Republic to teach children; in Brazil, we helped churches and did street evangelism. And in Costa Rica, I was given the opportunity to lead worship in parks and spread the gospel to tourists. These mission trips only grew my heart for missions and set me on fire by the Lord more than ever. These opportunities to travel and share the light of Jesus gave me a new perspective on the Great Commission. Wherever I am placed, I am to spread the good news. Now, I have the ability to attend a YWAM base in September and learn from leaders across the globe.
However, I will need prayers and donations to make this opportunity possible. This does not include food or extra expenses. Your donation will go a long way and will be a blessing.
