Hi, my name is Heidi, and I am reaching out for help. After looking for rental assistance for the last 2 months. I live in Portland, Oregon, and unfortunately, I have not been able to find any. I literally have nowhere to go if I lose my apartment. This is my last chance for me and my 2 very old kitties (18 and 16).

Due to a fall that broke my collarbone and messed up my rotator cuff, I was out of work as a Caregiver, on short term disability. I was supposed to go back to work but unfortunately, they let me go. Because of this and other hardships, I fell into a very deep depression. I decided I was worth it and helped myself by putting myself into an intensive outpatient program for alcohol and have almost 90 days! I found myself a counselor and have been working really hard to heal my trauma. I also put myself through a program to become a Peer Wellness Specialist and am now registered in the state of Oregon and am now looking for employment.

I live in a 2 bedroom/2bathroom apartment. My plan once I get my rent up to date, God willing I will be getting a roommate, and I will only be paying 650.00 which is incredible. Also, you would be helping someone else.

I am asking for help so that I can stay in my home that I love. This is really hard for me to do as I don't ask for help. I don't want to lose all the progress I've made and lose my best friends, Riley and Alba.
