Heidi Patricia McRae is Richard’s aunt, but she raised him like her own child and has always been a mother figure in his life. Heidi has spent years caring for others, helping raise children and being the kind of person her family could lean on. Now, she is the one who needs that same love and support in return. Heidi has suffered multiple strokes, is living with diabetes and kidney failure, and is now in a nursing home. Her health crisis has been overwhelming for the people who love her, and Richard is heartbroken and terrified at the thought of losing someone who has meant so much to him and his family.
