Support Hegeree News Network

Hegeree News Network was established on September 21st, 2019, with a simple vision: to amplify the voices of the Oromo people all around the globe. In a span of a year, we have worked to realize that vision and become an informative and inclusive platform for the people of Oromia in their homeland and further. We have strived to provide reliable information for the Oromo in Oromia, Ethiopia, and nearby countries, who are potential refugees taking an immense risk to escape injustices. We pride ourselves in providing reliable information to the public including governments of host countries to assist in providing resettlement support to refugees and offering financial assistance whenever possible to newly arrived refugees.

There is an attack on free independent media in Oromia led partly by the Ethiopian government. Hegeree News Network intends on expanding and solidifying the network as a pioneer in the Oromo media world by gaining access to satellite and expanding our staff in Oromia. As such, we are turning to our community to aid us in whatever they can.

We are adamant that our community will continue supporting Hegeree News Network as they have been doing since our inception. We appreciate your help greatly.
