My name is Kelsey Eiland, and I am raising funds for Hector Calderon Zuniga. Hector is a 4th grader who was in my first kindergarten class. He suffered a serious medical incident earlier this year and spent many months at Stanford Hospital. Hector is now home in his family’s care and must attend regular hospital visits for testing. His recovery requires full-time at-home care and expensive medical supplies. During my most recent visit with Hector’s family, his mom let me know that just one of his breathing machines cost $3,000 and was not covered by insurance. This fundraiser is intended to cover the family’s purchase of that machine. All funds raised will go directly to Hector’s mom, Mariela.
