My name is Hector, and I work as a supervision officer at the City of Dallas Juvenile Detention Center. Recently, while on duty, I was assaulted by an inmate. The attack left me with multiple fractures on my face, requiring surgery and a long recovery process. This experience has been incredibly difficult, both physically and emotionally, and it has changed my life in ways I never expected.

As a result of my injuries, I have been unable to work and am facing significant lost wages. The financial strain has added to the stress of my recovery, making it even harder to focus on healing. I have also been diagnosed with PTSD, and I am working hard every day to overcome the trauma and regain a sense of normalcy in my life.
