On December 24th, while my husband, Hector, and his brother were out shopping, he suddenly complained of a severe headache. Hector decided to rest in the car. By the time I got to him he was unresponsive, blue in the face, lips, hands, and tongue. We rushed him to the ER in Sacramento, where we are visiting his brother for Christmas. Our Christmas trip has turned into a life-altering nightmare. To say that Christmas this year has been the hardest we’ve ever experienced is an understatement. We almost lost the most precious person in our lives—the father to our children, my life partner, my best friend since I was 16. Watching him fight for his life has been the most heart-wrenching experience I could ever imagine. We are deeply thankful that Hector has shown some signs of improvement over the past few days, but we know his road to recovery is still long and uncertain. He is the pillar of our family and our main provider. Without him, it’s hard to navigate through this overwhelming time, especially with the mounting medical bills and the uncertainty of when he will be able to come home. As humbly as I can ask, we are reaching out to our friends and family for help. If you can assist us in any way whether financially or through prayers your support would mean the world to us. Every prayer for his full recovery is greatly appreciated, and any contributions to help with expenses during this time would ease a great burden on us as we focus on getting Hector back to full health.
Thank you so much for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity. We are so grateful for any help you can provide.
