Hi! I'm Héctor. I'm 34. I live with my parents in a small apartment. I graduated college in 2018 and returned home the same Summer. Finding work to support myself, and get my career going, has not been easy. Started in a temp agency (work was sparse and limited to days--barely months) and work a part-time on-call job in the town college that ended up being paused due to COVID-19 in 2020. Lost that job and had to work warehouses and OA for a restaurant/café. Since then it's been rough for my family (brothers included) and myself to pay for the apartment (we moved in Spring 2018) with the rising cost of inflation and amenities these past 5 years. I've had jobs in-between and equal parts unemployment when I finally landed a full-time job October of 2024; it's the best job I've had but not enough to support myself, relieve my credit card debt and student loan debt--amongst other pressing things.

I'm tired. My father has been on kidney dialysis since December 2024 (he lost two brothers in 2021 and 2024, respectively, from kidney failure), and was out of work for months before he could return. Unfortunately, they didn't give him enough PTO to keep us from struggling--if one of us struggle we all do. My mother is doing her best; sometimes works Saturdays and overtime. My 1st brother was out of work for 1 1/2 year and my 2nd brother is in community college (taking a hiatus to work but still passionate about his studies). I wouldn't be here asking strangers for help unless we absolutely needed it. They've mailed a notice to vacate the premises by 11/21/25. 30 days from the delivery. Please--with all my heart--help us avoid eviction and avoid continuous financial stress/insecurity due to the economic imbalance facing us. Thank you.
