Support Hector & Family as they Fight for Him to Come Home

A hardworking father from the Long Branch community was torn away by ICE from his family on the eve of his toddler’s second birthday.

In mid-January 2026, Hector did what he had done every three months for several years -- attended his scheduled immigration appointment. He believed he would return home the same day. But that day, he was taken into ICE custody and ultimately tranferred to a detention center in Arizona, over 2,000 miles from his home in Silver Spring.

His sudden detention has left his wife and two young children - a toddler son and 8-year old daughter - facing fear, instability, and the abrupt loss of their beloved husband and father.

Since Hector’s detention, Mom has been working tirelessly as sole caregiver and provider to try to keep the family fed, healthy and warm. But the family is now facing mounting challenges with their primary breadwinner unable to contribute.

Your donation will help:
• Keep a roof over their heads
• Keep the heat on and utilities paid
• Put food on the table for two young children

Your support, no matter how small, makes a difference. And if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser so others can help. Together, we can help keep this family safe, warm, and housed while they fight to reunite their family. Thank you for your compassion, solidarity, and support!

Tu donación ayudará a:
