Our beloved friend Heba has been battling a progressive lung disease caused by underlying auto-immune conditions for the last 10 years. Throughout this time, Heba has bravely fought and continued to live her life, cherishing moments with her family, friends, and career. As her lung function deteriorated, daily life became more challenging, but her spirit remained strong. On Friday, March 6, 2026, Heba underwent life-saving lung transplant surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Since her surgery, she has faced multiple complications and now has a long and tough road ahead to recovery. Her devoted husband is by her side every day as her voice and primary caregiver, while her sons, aged 16 and 21, are both still in school and visit her as often as possible. Heba is receiving the best care possible at Mayo Clinic, but her condition is complicated by her underlying auto-immune issues.

Her closest friends have come together to start this fundraiser to help with the many expenses that come with such a journey. The funds raised will go towards medical bills, support for her children, and travel expenses as her family cares for her during recovery. So many of us want to do something for Heba. Her beautiful smile, kindness, and pure loving heart have touched countless lives—not only those of her family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers, but also through her volunteer work as a leader of a Christian women’s group.
