Support Heaven’s First Year at Howard University

Donation protected
My name is Heaven, and I’m about to begin my freshman year at Howard University, majoring in psychology. I’ve always been fascinated by how the mind works and how our thoughts and actions shape our lives. My dream is to use my education to help others understand themselves and overcome challenges, especially in communities like mine.

Howard University has always stood out to me because it represents black excellence and a supportive environment where I can grow and be inspired by those around me. I want to surround myself with people who push me to be my best, and Howard is the perfect place for that.

Throughout high school, I stayed focused on my goals and made sure I wasn’t distracted. I worked hard to keep my grades up because I knew I wanted to break tradition in my family by going to college. My dedication and discipline have helped me get this far, and I am ready to face any challenges to achieve my education.

I come from a low-income household. My mom is a single mother raising me and my four siblings, working hard at a job that barely gets us through the week. The cost of college is a huge challenge for us, and I don’t want my education to put more strain on my family. That’s why I’m reaching out for help with tuition and housing. Being the first in my family to leave our state for college means a lot to me, and I hope to pave the way for my younger siblings so they can have more opportunities in the future. Your support will not only help me achieve my dreams but also inspire my family and community.
