Hello this is Heather Benjamin and I am raising money to help gain funds after having to undergo an emergency surgery this week. After having a slew of health problems, I found myself crumpled up on the bathroom floor Wednesday night due to intense abdominal pain. Electing to go to the ER to try to get to find the cause of the pain, I spend hours of Wednesday evening into Thursday morning in the ER only to be told I needed to have emergency surgery. After two hospital transfers, I was finally able to undergo the surgery, however not knowing that I had this underlying health problem that would require such immediate action has left myself and my family strapped for money to both cover the $7000 hospital bill + every day expenses. My family and I have been trying to figure out how to make this happen, in an attempt to keep from having to create a go fund me, but with the surgery making it so I will not be able to work for about two months, we cannot survive on my husband's income alone.

I always hate asking for help as I very much want to be independent and do things myself, but this is a situation that I, unfortunately, cannot solve without aid. Every little bit helps, even just sharing this GoFundMe to get the word out.
