Heather Leggett Warren, my daughter, recently experienced a life-changing accident. While attending a function, she slipped on a wet spot on the floor. Her knee buckled and she twisted her ankle, resulting in a major break of her ankle and the tibia at the top of her ankle. The injury was severe enough that she needed surgery right away to stabilize the bones and help with the swelling. In about two weeks, Heather will need a second surgery to insert pins and rods to put her ankle back together.

Right now, Heather is unable to put any weight on her leg and is using a walker to get around. She will be staying with me for the next few months as she recovers and waits for her second surgery. Because of her injury, Heather is unable to work and will be out of work for months. This has put a significant financial strain on both of us, as we try to manage her medical bills, daily expenses, and the extra care she needs during this time.
