I know I started this GoFundme for help with my chronic pain issues and medical bills, but we could really use help through this catastrophic ice storm. We are located in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere Mississippi and will likely not have power for weeks if not a month. Any donation helps.
In 2019, I was the victim of a hit and run involving a drunk driver. The accident left me with a traumatic brain injury and a spinal injury that continue to shape my daily life. Not long after the accident, I was diagnosed with post-traumatic cervical dystonia—a rare and very painful neurological movement disorder—which now requires me to get quarterly injections. In February 2025, I received a spinal cord stimulator to help manage my pain and symptoms.
Recently, I tried to return to part-time work at a dispensary that claims to be for the patients, but after being screamed at on the job, I was thrown into a painful flare up and ultimately fired. The stress and physical toll have led to chest pains (CT scans have ruled out heart and lung issues), and I am now in the process of filing for disability. I’ve realized I can’t handle working any longer, and the financial strain is overwhelming.
All funds raised will go directly toward legal fees for my discrimination case, medical bills, and living expenses while I fight for justice and stability. Any support you can offer would mean the world to me as I navigate this difficult time. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation.
