Hi, my name is Heather, and I’m the mom of two little girls (and a college son) who mean the world to me.
I never imagined I’d be making a GoFundMe. I’m usually the one trying to figure it out quietly and make do, but an unexpected medical situation knocked us off our feet at the worst possible time.
Recently, I ended up in the hospital with a kidney stone and pancreatitis and was out of work for almost two weeks. Because I’m hourly, that time away from work meant lost income. We were already living pretty close to the edge, and losing that paycheck has left us behind on bills right as Christmas is approaching.
I’m not asking for anything extravagant. My goals are simple:
Catch up on our basic bills (car, mortgage, utilities) so we can keep our home stable and the lights on.
Give my daughters a modest Christmas – just a few gifts so they can have something to open and feel the magic of the holiday.
I know times are tough for so many people right now, and I completely understand that not everyone is in a position to help. If you are, please know that any amount—truly, any amount—would make a real difference for us. And if you can’t donate but are willing to share this, that kindness helps too.
It’s humbling to put our situation out there and ask for help, but I’m doing it for my girls. They’ve been so patient and loving through all of this, and I just want to give them a little bit of normal and stability during the holidays.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for sharing if you can, and for any help you’re able to give. Your kindness means more than I can put into words.
With gratitude,
Heather
