Heather Oman’s sister •

In October 2023 Heather’s status went from in remission from Angiosarcoma to stage 4. She was recently admitted into a local hospital due to a complication from the tumors which resulted in internal bleeding. Some may know that her oncology team is based out of NYC. She will be getting transferred to Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC in order to be seen by her team. Although this is where she needs to be to receive the best care, it is 2.5 hours away from home where her husband and 4 year old son are.

Unfortunately, the hospital in NY does not offer housing for families of loved ones that are admitted into the hospital. If her husband and son want to be close by, they will have to pay out of pocket to get back and forth to the city and for a hotel/some kind of lodging.

At this time it is uncertain how long Heather will have to be in NY. She has already been in the ICU locally since 7/22. But these donations will help make the transition a little less stressful for the family. Thank you!
