Please Consider Helping our Niece, Heather Rose
Our niece Heather Rose was born with congenital intestinal malrotation, a rare and disabling condition that has deeply affected her entire life. She endured two surgeries as a young child and has made countless emergency room visits over the years. As she got older, her condition worsened, eventually leaving her unable to work for the past several years.
On Thursday, July 17, Heather underwent a complex and extensive abdominal transplant surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. While the more-than-seven-hour surgery went well, serious complications followed—her lungs collapsed, she developed pneumonia, and was moved into the ICU, where she remained on a ventilator for eight days. She is still in the ICU and has a long, challenging road ahead toward recovery.
Her mom—our sister Donna—has taken unpaid leave from work to be by her side and provide care. The financial burden is heavy. Between medical bills, airfare, hotel stays, meals, and transportation, the costs are quickly mounting.
We are humbly asking for donations of any size to help support Heather and Donna during this incredibly difficult time. No amount is too small, and every contribution will make a meaningful difference.
Thank you so much for your generosity, kindness, and support. It means the world to our family as we rally around Heather on her journey to healing.
With gratitude,
Team Heather Rose ❤️
