Hi, my name is Emily, and I’m writing this for my mom, Heather Julson.
My mom is a single mom of three (Emily, Rye, and Anikka) who has spent her life providing for our family through her work with Mary Kay. She is a proud grandma and is still raising my youngest sister, Anikka (16), who is thriving as a student-athlete at Cary Christian School.
In 2019, my mom survived breast cancer after undergoing a double mastectomy. Now, in 2025, she is facing another, much harder battle.
After discovering swollen lymph nodes, my mom went through extensive testing and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Follicular Lymphoma. The cancer has spread to multiple areas of her body, including her bone marrow, spleen, lungs, abdomen, chest wall, and surrounding soft tissues and muscles. She is currently undergoing treatment, which has taken a toll on her strength and energy.
Treatment has left her weak, exhausted, and unable to work consistently. Medical bills and everyday expenses are rising quickly, and her insurance doesn’t cover everything. While we don’t yet know the full length or cost of treatment, expenses are expected to be at least $50,000.
How Your Support Helps
- Medical and treatment-related costs
- Basic living expenses during treatment
- Supporting my 16-year-old sister at home
A Request for Prayer
Our family is rooted in faith and trusting God through this season. We would be so grateful if you would join us in praying for my mom:
- No side effects from treatment
- That her lungs would heal, and the fluid would dry up quickly
- That the cancer would be eliminated in record time
- That she would reflect Christ’s love to everyone she meets and not waste this opportunity
"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." - James 1:2-4
Any support — whether through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping my mom in your prayers — means so much to our family. We are incredibly grateful for the love and care of our community during this time, and it gives us strength and hope each day. Thank you for being part of our journey!
