Our friends, Heather and Naomi, are recovering from a second devastating flood exactly a year to the day of the flood in July 2023 that filled their basement up to the rafters. They had just finished replacing everything that was lost in that first flood: the fuel tank, furnace and hot water heater, washer/dryer and electrical box. They also lost many personal possessions, and the home’s front and back porches were damaged.

Facing an uncertain future, not knowing if or when the next extreme weather event will bring another flood, they are now faced with replacing those essential items again- “everything that was new is underwater again”.
