Heather is facing the most difficult battle of her life. On February 17, 2026, her entire right leg shattered unexpectedly, and she was rushed by ambulance to Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola. After a series of scans, doctors discovered that her femur and pelvis were broken and required immediate surgery, including a rod and hip replacement.
BUT the news became even more devastating. Heather was told she has Adenocarcinoma, an aggressive, inoperable cancer that has spread extensively into her bones and liver. The reason her leg broke was because the cancer had weakened her bones. Since that day she received a port to begin chemotherapy, surgery on her C5 vertebrae, which had disintegrated, replacing it with a steel cage and fusion to the bones, as well as injected putty and cement to help strengthen her lower spine.
Despite their efforts, Heather has been told that, because of how far the cancer has spread, she is at stage 4. The prognosis is heartbreaking: without treatments, she may have only 4–6 months to live, or 6 months to a year with chemotherapy and radiation.
Heather is a full-time mama and caretaker of her special needs daughter, Hogan, who is the center of her world and the founder of SHOW Baldwin Inc. - Special Humans Outreach & Wellness - she built it from the ground up with a heart of gold and a vision rooted in love, dignity, and belonging.
Heather has been a fierce advocate for the special needs community from the very beginning. She believed- deep in her soul- that every individual deserves a place to shine, to be celebrated, and to be seen for the incredible gifts they bring into the world. Her compassion transformed lives, opened doors, and created a community where families felt supported, encouraged, and truly understood. The impact she has made will continue to ripple outward for generations.
Heather and her family are facing overwhelming medical bills, urgent needs for equipment to make her comfortable at home, and uncertainty about the future for Hogan and John. Any donation, prayer, or share will help provide Heather and her family with the support, comfort, and dignity they deserve during this unimaginable time.
