Help Support Heather in Her Fight for Life

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

My name is Nicki Shearer, and I am reaching out as a loving sister and concerned nurse practitioner in behalf of my sister-in-law, Heather Deveraux. She is in the midst of an urgent medical crisis and she, along with her husband and their 4 children, need our help.

Every day, Heather's body increases in pain and decreases in functionality. Her risk of organ failure is dangerously high, leaving her primarily bed bound and requiring specialized care, pain management and daily IV treatments.

Despite hundreds of thousands of dollars traveling all over the country to seek help from specialists, Heather's decline has continued to the point of needing regular assistance showering, getting dressed and walking short distances.

After hiring several people to support Heather and her family, her husband Mckay was eventually forced to step away from his career and relocate their family to Texas for extensive testing and treatment for several months.

The physical, emotional and financial strain has been crushing on the entire family. While their loving neighbors and family have helped them carry these heavy burdens for several years, the time has come for more hearts and hands to join the fight.
