I’d like to share my story, I had been trying to get my children and I out of a horrible situation for years . Everytime that I tried his mother and/or would stalk me . Show up to my job. They would set outside my home all hours of the night periodically trying the door knob to see if I happened to leave it unlocked . They would show up right befor id be leaving for work with the police harassing my babysitters until they’d quit . Worst of all they would have CPS come and start investigations . Once when my daughter was 21 days old she was able to convince them to take my kids . It took 3 months for me to get them back. I’d eventually feel defeated and no way to work and support the kids that I’d have to go back . Trying to leave this last time I called everyone I had ever been close too . 3 days in a row I was set to leave and my ride would bail . The realization that even if I had finally reached my breaking point I would have no where or way to leave and again I broke . Then a girl from work gave Amanda the head of this ministry my number to see if she could help. The night befor leaving Amanda sent me a step by step go plan. The next morning I had to wait for an opening to leave safely . I finally got one and Amanda came and quickly and discreetly helped me get my bags and kids into the car. Half way to where I was going we realize that her and I were good friends when we were 16 .she had to get herself and kids having no family to help her get out . If you or someone you know is in a situation like ours your probably already no their is no help . The hotline numbers they give you tell you to call shelters . You call the shelters they don’t have openings . Amanda’s trying to help these women out and help them all the way through the process not just out the front door . To help us get on our feet and stable so that we don’t have to go back . Please help her do what no one else will . Because with out her I doubt I would have survived much longer .
