Help My Niece, a Dedicated Healthcare Worker, in Her Time of Need

Kathy, a compassionate healthcare worker and devoted grandmother has been through an incredibly challenging year. Despite her tireless efforts to care for others, she has been struggling with a series of health setbacks and financial burdens that have left her with little to fall back on.

As a single grandmother and essential worker, she has always gone above and beyond to support her patients, but unfortunately, the system hasn’t been as supportive of her. Her pay, combined with inadequate sick leave and limited health insurance coverage, has made it difficult to maintain any savings. She’s also dealing with an aging car that’s in desperate need of repairs and rent for her apartment that’s due this Christmas.

This year has been especially tough. She’s had to recover from brain surgery, shoulder and carple tunnel surgery. She also battled through a case of COVID-19. Now she’s been diagnosed with pneumonia, which has forced her to miss work and be away from family during the holidays. Despite working hard and giving all she has to others, she finds herself in a dire situation, with mounting bills, medical expenses, and a lack of support.
