Hi everyone!
We’re raising funds to help continue the work of the Health Fluency Project, a student-led initiative focused on improving health literacy and language access for immigrant and multilingual communities.
Over the past year, our team has been working directly with community organizations to host health education workshops and create accessible resources that help people better understand medical information and navigate the healthcare system.
We’ve been up to a lot in the big 2025 and 2026!
- Our members gave testimonies at the Massachusetts State House in support of legislation focused on improving language access in healthcare (H.3384), sharing the real stories and challenges we’ve seen through our work.
- Awarded the Most Innovative Program at the 23rd Annual Institute for Health Advancement (IHA) Health Literacy Awards
- Established partnerships with 10+ new sites, grew our team to 7+ campuses, and are working with 19+ languages Comment end
- We are coming up on our 3 year anniversary!!
As we continue expanding our workshops and outreach, we’re hoping to raise funds to help cover travel costs for volunteers going to workshop sites, develop more multilingual health education materials, and support future community programming.
Any contribution, no matter the size, helps us keep this work going and allows us to reach more communities that need accessible health information.
