On Sunday July 13th, I unfortunately sustained a major eye injury, leaving me blind in my left eye. I was transported from Kissimmee to Miami for emergency surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. They were able to save the integrity of the eye itself, but not my vision. This has resulted in a weekly trip to and from Miami for follow up visits for the foreseeable future. As of now future surgeries are a possibility, but I need to heal from the initial injury and surgery before we know what the future holds. Due to this incident I currently have no household income for myself and my family until I can return to work, hopefully sometime in August.
