URGENT support needed to help Healing Hope Cat Sanctuary!

Tax deductible
Hi, I'm Kim Rockshaw, and I'm desperately reaching out to you to support Healing Hope Cat Sanctuary, a vital organization dedicated to the care of special needs cats. Donations are way down and for the last 18 months, we have been beyond worried and stressed. Our cats pay the price since no money coming in means, very little, if any, vet care!
2025 has been the worse year for HHCS finances since our inception.

If you are unfamiliar with HHCS, since 1992, we have been helping the cats in our community, helping other rescue groups and even large shelters by taking in these types of felines. They end up here because no one else wants them and they often face rejection due to their health, age, or personality. We have feral cats here that have a real quality of life (For example, two sisters that have been with us since kittenhood rescued 14 years ago!) But at Healing Hope, these girls, and others, find a safe haven where they are loved and cared for. Your generous donation is absolutely needed right now to continue this essential work and make a real difference in their lives!

Every contribution goes a long way! Here are just a few ways your support will help:
  • Providing veterinary care (currently one of our most pressing needs!
  • Provide financial support to maintain our property. This is also a big expense. Right now, we our having major outdoor plumbing problems and need other crucial repairs (see below).
  • Currently the cost of regular cat care (food, litter, meds, flea treatments) is running about $90 - $100 per month per cat. With 22 cats that adds up to quite a bit of funding needed. (And this is before any veterinary care expenses.)
  • One of our kitties that needs vet care, very soon, is in this photo. "Rufus" came to us as a stray a few years ago, starving and drying, with also one of the worse cases of mange. This is what he looked like before he was rescued! And then, the other photo of him is just a few weeks after treatment.
  • As the cover photo kitty for this GoFundMe, you see Rufus in the little cage just a few weeks after treatment! He has done really well and has lived with us, but recently has developed some problems with his mouth. He will need to go to a veterinary dentist, as our regular vet has recommended this for many reasons. (no, not just tooth extractions. ) This will be costly.
  • In just a few days we are taking another special little feral girl "Maisy" BACK into our vet as she has major sinus problems. There is little to no air flow through her nose. This is stopping her from eating (she is temporarily being helped by an appetite stimulant.) If what our vet can do in his office doesn't help, we might end up taking her to a specialist. We estimate the first sinus check appt. (with sedation and flushing) will cost at least $1200. But our vet thinks she might need to see a specialist and this will cost an additional $2000 or possibly more. Both Rufus and Maisy are otherwise strong and healthy cats, with perfect blood work! They deserve more vet care because they truly have problems that can be cured. We them to go onto live a better, more comfortable, and less painful life
  • The property repairs right now have become very pressing. We have been dealing with outdoor drain problems for almost a year and they HAVE to be treated with hydro-jetting. (We were quoted between $1000 to $1500, as what they are seeing is very complicated and there is no water moving/draining) A number of our cats live in our large enclosed back yard at the sanctuary, and right we cannot even use the hoses to do cleaning. And since our winter rains are soon to start, we will have complete flooding unless the drains are opened. Flooding will also affect the garage where some of the cats hang out in cold and rainy weather.
Our next big property project is tree trimming. Right now even though our smaller trees were trimmed, we have a few big ones (20 to 25 feet!) that our damaging our roof and endangered the house and the cats. We were quoted at least $3000 to trim and remove these large trees.

We have had NO MONEY for these larger vet expenses and these property repairs. In the last two years (2025 being the worse), we have lost a great deal of our donations and funding. . . at least 40%! We are barely scraping by to feed the cats, and provide small amounts of vet care!
We cannot to go on like this, worrying about every bill, every food/litter order, and whether or not our felines can go into see our veterinarian. We ask for your help and any amount is greatly appreciated.
Please go to our website (www.healinghopecatsanctuary.org) to see all ways you can help and also other ways to donate. We accept Zelle, PayPal and personal checks for monetary donations.
THANK YOU!
