I am currently trying to recover from leukemia and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a challenging complication that developed after my bone marrow transplant. One of the most difficult aspects has been how GVHD affects my skin—especially my feet, where the skin constantly peels and requires daily care and attention. It’s a painful and often exhausting process, both physically and emotionally. Some days feel overwhelming, but I keep pushing forward with the help of my care team and the support of those around me. This journey has tested every part of me, but it’s also revealed a deep resilience I didn’t know I had. Every small step toward healing is a reminder that I’m still moving forward.
