Helping Turtle (Vet bills, food, medicine)

❤ UPDATE: I increased the goal amount because I realize Turtle will be hospitalized for a while and then I will need to continue to buy medication for her, GS-441524 (pill and/or injections) that can help her get her life back. Apparently it is recommended for 12 weeks and the cost quickly adds up. Thank you all for such a great effort to help us! We have started administering this medication 10/9/24. Fingers crossed!

I know there’s sooo many little creatures that need help ❤ And we can only do so much… this little one has been sleeping behind our office and only recently was I able to start feeding her. She seems deaf but so did Garfie when I first got him. I think she’s just so malnourished and traumatized that she can’t pay too much attention. I can feel her ribcage when I pet her, she can’t seem to sit properly and I don’t know if its because it hurts her or what. She doesn’t have good balance and wobbles when she walks. She walks so slowly and just looks like she’s given up.

This morning (10/3/24), I was alarmed because she didn't really want to eat but I gave her some pets and loving and she started eating again. I really want to take her to the vet and get checked, get some flea treatment and maybe fluids or whatever else she needs. The check up fee is $80 (that's the cheapest I could find after calling a lot of local vets). That's not including bloodwork which I am sure she's going to need... I'm going to use Garfield's CareCredit card and we'll see how it goes!

Lord knows I barely have resources for myself and Garfie but I’ve been feeding her some of Garfie’s food. Its very stressful but its so hard to see her barely surviving and the thought that she’s on deaths door has me unable to sleep at night And with colder weather just around the corner, I am just not so sure she would make it through the winter..
