Our Story: Heart, Soul, and Community Art
For over two decades, the Hope & District Arts Council (HDAC) has been the quiet heartbeat of our community’s vibrant art culture. One of the many projects HDAC operates is the Art Machine, and through our hands-on pottery, painting and craft classes, we work tirelessly to make art accessible and affordable for every neighbour, youth, and senior in Hope.
Art bridges cultures, elevates our local economy, and quite literally makes Hope a more beautiful place to live and visit. To keep HDAC operational, we need your help.
Why We Need Your Help Today
As a small, non-profit organization run by a dedicated group of mostly volunteers and a tiny but mighty staff, we rely heavily on community support to keep our doors open. Operational costs like wages, art supplies, maintaining our studio spaces, and keeping our community events free or low-cost has become an increasingly tough uphill battle.
We have set a fundraising goal of $25,000 to help get over the current hurdle we're facing and to help ensure our community hubs remain stable, safe, and fully equipped.
How Your Generosity Helps:
Every dollar raised through this campaign goes directly toward keeping our doors open and our creative spaces thriving. Your donations support day-to-day facility operations, subsidize community workshops, and keep vital public events free for everyone. By contributing, you are directly investing in the cultural longevity of our town, ensuring that local artists have a place to showcase their work and community members of all ages have a safe space to create.
Every Contribution Counts
No contribution is too small. Whether you are able to give a little or a lot, your generosity directly sustains the cultural heartbeat of Hope, BC.
If you aren't able to donate financially at this time, you can still be a massive help by sharing this campaign link with your friends, family, and neighbours on Facebook, Instagram, and via email.
Thank you for standing by Hope's art creators, and neighbours. Together, we can ensure that our community remains a vibrant, creative, and inclusive place to call home.
With immense gratitude,
The Hope & District Arts Council Board & Staff
PS we understand some people don't like the fees GoFundMe charges (2.9% + $0.30 per contribution made) so alternatively you can support us via sending us an etransfer or dropping off a cheque to our office
