Your donations will support registrants from throughout Africa complete online certificates from HBCUs and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) of higher education in the USA. The Office of HBCU Development and International Cooperation (OHBCUD), via its MOU partnership with the U.N. Development Programme (UNDP) Regional Bureau for Africa, has established an International Distance Learning Initiative (IDLI). This project is designed to provide online academic training for adults from all regions and public/private sectors of Africa. The common goal is to help train and empower applicants as they help implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), or UN Agenda 2030 and African Union Agenda 2063, in their respective countries and throughout the African Diaspora.
Donations cover tuition and project expenses associated with student training during the upcoming Summer Session 2022 modules held at participating HBCUs and PBIs in the USA and the University of Guyana (UOG). As noted in the promotional video, our inaugural IDLI project saw 55 students from 17 African countries trained and awarded Certificates of Completion. These expanding numbers of project alumni will return to their respective regions and communities to assist in the robust and timely implementation of the UN's SDGs. The IDLI project is one of nine activities captured in OHBCUD's historic MOU with UNDP Africa. Your donations will also assist with the pre/post survey assessment of learning outcomes and achievement of SDG targets. At our next Annual Summit (September 2022), to be held at the margins of the 77th Session UN General Assembly (UNGA), September 2022 -- UNDP Africa and OHBCUD will provide an overview of project progress and related partnership activities.
Therefore, donate generously and support the training for this unique cohort of Africa-based Summer 2022 registrants and our HBCU/PBI community. Help spread the good news and invite other organizations and individuals to support this special fundraiser. A financial report will be provided to all interested donors. WE THANK YOU !!!
