Laney's beloved doodle, Hazel, was hit by an SUV on March 31, and the driver never stopped. Which Laney was there to witness. She was able to get her to a vet quickly with the help of her parents. Hazel had to be taken to MedVet Veterinary Hospital in Columbus after she was stabilized here. She suffered a fractured pelvis, broken ribs, and a broken leg.
