Hello,
I am Kyle, the father of 2 beautiful 13-month-old twins. Hazel has been in the hospital for over a week now, scaring all of us so much! The doctors have been struggling to find what's happening. They recently have made progress and found a blood clot, blood disease, and bone disease. They have sedated her because her heart is inflamed and working too hard. They have performed surgery to remove the infection from the bone. She currently still has her leg cut open to drain the infection. She is still sedated on morphine. She's our beautiful, strong girl. She has a long road ahead of her and many challenges to face. She will be in the hospital for over a month at least.
I'm currently in school for oil and heat, and also HVAC. I finish school in October. The mother is currently with Hazel now, and after my final day of school in the week, I switch out with her. I'm currently watching her twin brother, Damon. The hospital is over an hour away from home. Mommy will be taking this time off unpaid. We have a huge hill to climb. My sister convinced me to ask for help, which I'm not great with. We have a house with a mortgage, bills, car payment, credit card payments, travel, food, animals, and more to worry about during all of this scary, painful time. So, myself, Hazel, and my family ask for help to pay our bills for a month. All of our bills for a month is about $5400.00. Anything helps in this time of need, but mostly it would be a blessing to not worry about money while being by Hazel's side.

Hazel went back into surgery, infection came back. She is still sedated and we are waiting to hear more.

Hazel is still stable and fighting hard. Her EEG is clear and she is sedated still. I'm going tomorrow to be by her side for 3 days and give Mommy a break. Mommy will get time with her twin brother Damon. This has been extremely hard on the family. At this point I have no clue how long she will be in the hospital. We have met our goal which I'm so grateful for and feel so emotional with all the love given. I hoping we will have a update soon for when we can wake up baby Hazel. I don't know how long this will be, I originally thought a month. It could be longer now. Thank you again to everyone that has shown love and continue to! I plan on thanking everyone individually. Pray for Hazel.
