My fiancée’s sister Hazel. Who resides in the Philippines, is facing one of the toughest battles of her life. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, a devastating blow that came after already struggling with Schizoaffective Schizophrenia since 2020, following the heartbreaking loss of her husband. Hazel is a loving mother to two sons, one of whom has recently earned a basketball scholarship to a local college—a bright spot in their lives during these challenging times.
Hazel’s journey is made even more difficult by her family’s history. She is one of six siblings who all experienced the pain of losing their mother to breast cancer in the mid-90s. This time around hopefully the family will break the feeling of helplessness they experienced as children, as Hazel faces this disease herself. The emotional and financial toll is immense. The funds raised will go directly towards her chemotherapy and targeted therapies to stop the spread, as well as scans and tests for real-time tracking. They will also help cover surgery and hospital stays if needed, medications and psychiatric support, travel for treatments, daily needs, healthier food options, and ongoing psychotherapy.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you and are very grateful for your support.
