Support Hayley's Rehabilitation Journey
Donation protected
Hello, I’m Debbie, Hayley’s sister.
My amazing, brave sister, Hayley, underwent life-saving open-heart surgery on 3rd September, 2024. While she was in recovery, she suffered a stroke, which has now left her in intensive care. Hayley has always been a fighter, but she now faces a long road to recovery that will require extensive rehabilitation.
The surgery itself was a success, but unfortunately Hayley suffered a stroke, sepsis and multi organ failure. We were told she may not survive, which as you can imagine was devastating for us, as we are such a close family.
Hayley was in an induced coma, fighting for her life. She had many setbacks, including kidney failure requiring dialysis, pneumonia, blood transfusions and many more obstacles to overcome, but with the amazing care at the Brompton Hospital, we have our Hayley back.
After the stroke, Hayley has been left with significant impairments in mobility which will require specialised and intensive therapy. The rehabilitation process will be long and expensive, but we want to get Hayley the best treatment/rehabilitation as soon as we possibly can.
The funds raised will help cover the cost of Hayley’s rehabilitation, including physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy, as well as home modifications and medical equipment that she will need when she is discharged from the hospital. Every donation will go directly towards ensuring she gets the best possible care to regain her independence.
Hayley is a kind, caring, loving and a giving person who has always been there for others in their time of need.
During Covid she raised money for the staff working in the Intensive Care Unit at Epsom Hospital. She cooked meals and baked cakes daily and personally delivered them. I know just how much this meant to the staff.
She has raised money for various charities and helped make wishes come true, including;
“What to say about this darling girl.
She will jump to help in anyway she can in others times of need or even if you think you don’t need it, Hayley is there, always, no questions asked.
A wish was granted by Hayley for my gorgeous George, who had terminal cancer. George wanted to feed Giraffes Hayley jumped in and organised everything from the ambulance he needed to get there, to the meet and greet, I know this wasn’t easy, but Hayley did not stop until everything was covered including a mini bus for the family to go with him just one of the many things Hayley has done for me xx
Now it is time for us to give something back to her, as she would do for everyone of us!
Love her with all my heart and I hope she can see how much she means to us all” xx

Hayley is deffo one in a million! There is not one bad bone in her body! Hayley has been a rock to myself Paul and Harrison after the sudden and unexpected passing or our beloved 16 year old son Freddie! We lost Fred on the 3rd sep 23......We had yet another set back in January when Paul was diagnosed with cancer and yet still with all Hayleys own health issues has put others before her own self. Hayley has been an amazing caring loving person to us and has done so much since that day our world changed. A year to the day Hayley had her op and its been touch and go since we thought we were going to lose yet another beautiful sole. Hayley doesn't deserve whats been thrown at her and with all your help she can get something back and try and get some much needed therapy. Her family is amazing and don't deserve to watch their beloved Hayley suffer so much. Big love to Hayley and family and hoping she can get what she needs to make an amazing recovery. Love you Hayley xxxx
