Hayley Gular was in a serious car wreck on Saturday, 7/27.
She was riding in the backseat with friends on her way to have dinner when a guy t-boned her friend’s car.
She had to be life flighted to Memorial Hermann Med Center.
She has:
Hayley has a long road to recovery and with her parents being out of work, rehab coming up, insurance, and legal fees, etc, they will all need our support. Let’s come together and make sure finances are the LEAST of their worries!
Most recent updates so far as of Saturday 8/3 from her mom Cindy: “She’s made great progress in her speech and physical therapy. She’s speaking in sentences when she’s most awake.
Her biggest physical challenges right now is that the right side of her brain took an impact, and that controls the left side of her body, so the left side of her body is really struggling with basic functions. Also…she’s still too out of it most of the day to eat or drink and is still on that food tube.
When she first got to the hospital, all we wanted was for her to wake up. Now that she does wake up for some moments in the day, now we worry about her mental health. Because with waking up comes ALL the emotions…Saying things like “I wish I never got in that car.” “What happened?” “Why am I here?” “I can’t do this.” “Everything hurts.” The most heartbreaking statements and questions.
Keep praying for our girl. Keep praying for progress. I’ll update again when I’ve had some time. I love y’all so much for rallying around her…rallying around us.”
