Support Hayden's Recovery from Motorcycle Accident
Donation protected
On April 24th, 2024 at 8:30pm, my good friend Hayden Svihel got into a motorcycle accident.
He lost control in a parking lot and slid 30ft into a curb causing him to shatter his left patella (kneecap). He was then shot 4ft in the air and landed amidst the rubble of his totaled bike. The friends that were on scene called 911 immediately. Hayden was rushed to the hospital to discover that his left kneecap was broken and a chunk of his flesh just beneath his chin was missing. The doctors said if the gash was any lower it would have punctured his trachea.
Hayden was in the hospital for ~2 days before he was discharged and scheduled for surgery. The surgery was supposed to take 2hrs, but it ended up taking 4. The doctors found that there were only 2 pieces of his patella large enough to use as anchors to attach the metal plate.
Recovery was expected to take 4-6 months and is going well so far. Hayden is working on improving the mobility of his injured knee. He is at 90 degrees of articulation currently but needs to be at 110 degrees by August 7th. Hayden is slightly behind expected recovery. If Hayden doesn't reach 110 degrees the doctors will forcefully bend his leg which could cause damage to his knee and femur(this would be a good and bad thing. Good because he would have full articulation, bad because it would set him back a long time recovery-wise if things go wrong). Recovery has been hard work but Hayden is soldiering through like a champ.
With medical bills and recovery time, it's been hard for Hayden to make income. He has some financial needs I was hoping others would be interested in helping with. This fund goes directly to Hayden for medical bills.
Please pray and consider giving to help Hayden out.
