I’m trying to help my grandson Hayden Shockley who is a sophomore in high school. He’s been caring for a variety of animals since he was just 11 years old, and has his own hobby farm with over 100 animals that he independently pay’s for and completely manage all by himself.

He got his driver's license in January, and has been able to drive himself to swap meets to rehome animals and go to rabbit shows, which is one of his favorite things to do. But the other day, his car was parked in the student parking lot at his school, and someone ran into it and didn't say anything and just left. There isn't a camera that shows his parking spot, and we couldn't find any vehicles with silver paint on them.

Today, 5-13-25, he got the news that his truck was being totaled, and it's less than what we owe on it, so he’s without a vehicle until we can make enough money for a down payment.

So I'm making this GoFundMe not just to get a new car, but to help support his animals and beloved pets until he can start going to the farmers market again.

He has a friend that brings him occasionally, but he can't expect them to keep going 45 minutes out of their way to do that.
