Hayden Polakowski, a graduate student and lacrosse player at Pfeiffer University, was involved in a devastating plane crash in South Carolina last Thursday, July 2nd. He was airlifted to Augusta Burn Center, where he is now undergoing extensive and serious surgeries. Hayden faces a long road ahead, with ongoing treatments, surgeries, and more challenges as he works toward recovery.

Hayden is known by his peers, coaches, and teachers as a mature, friendly, and genuine young man who always does things the right way. As his coach, I have seen firsthand the positive impact he has on those around him, both on and off the field. The Polakowski family is now facing significant travel, lodging, and medical expenses as they support Hayden through this difficult time.
