Help Build a Safe, Forever Home for Haven

I’m fundraising to give my dog Haven the stable, structured life he truly deserves.

Haven is a 2.5-year-old Belgian Malinois with a heartbreaking past. He was severely abused — shocked, kicked, and neglected — for the first two years of his life. Though he’s resilient and loyal, the trauma has left deep emotional and behavioral scars that require specialized care and a safe, secure setup to support his rehabilitation and long-term well-being.

In September, I removed Haven from his toxic and abusive handler and have spent the last 9 months giving him love, respect, support, and patience. He is my best friend and my fur baby. He’s the smartest and most loyal dog I have ever met.

Although I’ve been able to help mend his nervous system, he still requires a structured and professional approach to life. I’ve spoken to numerous trainers and all of them said he was a loss cause. Determining behavioral euthanasia was the only choice.

Thankfully, a highly experienced trainer has offered to rehome Haven — not just to train him, but to give him a forever home with the time, care, and structure he needs. She’s committed to donating her training time, but to ethically and safely take him on, she’ll need to build a dedicated kennel space and cover his basic care.

This is Haven’s best and possibly only shot at stability and safety. Otherwise BE (behavioral euthanasia) is the only alternative. We just need help building the foundation for it — literally.

I love Haven beyond words and truly believe, after almost a year of consistent work and consideration, that this is his best option. He doesn’t just deserve a second chance at life, he deserves the world.

Where the Funds Will Go:

Why We’re Asking for Help

I wish I could fund this myself, but due to personal circumstances, I can’t afford the full setup or care costs on my own. The trainer has already gone above and beyond, and this fundraiser is our only way forward to give Haven the life he was robbed of.

This setup will allow him to:

• Live in a secure, kennel-run system with both indoor and outdoor space

• Have dig-proof flooring and jump protection to keep him safe

• Receive consistent training, food, vet care, and insurance

• Be part of a home where his needs will always be prioritized
