Support Haven's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Meet Haven -- loving cat mom of 3, an avid crafter who brings joy through her talents, and a thoroughly delightful person whose wit and thoughtfulness make her an adored wife and cherished friend. Both Haven and her husband Bryan embody selflessness, always lending a hand to help others even while facing their own challenges. Now they've been confronted with their most difficult hardship yet.

A lump was found during a routine annual exam. Not a stranger to mammograms and ultrasounds given a family history of breast cancer, it was unsettling new territory when imaging showed dark spots that required an immediate biopsy.

Her results arrived the morning of their 20th wedding anniversary, a diagnosis that has upended their lives: invasive ductal carcinoma.

MRI verified a single mass, but genetic testing revealed a high likelihood breast cancer would reoccur and a double mastectomy was quickly scheduled for August 4th. Haven also needed an unexpected urgent surgery to remove her left expander due to major infection. While staging is still being determined, cancer cells were present in a lymph node and her oncologist is recommending 16-24 weeks of chemotherapy plus radiation therapy.

The average cost of breast cancer treatment in the US is a staggering $20,000 to $100,000.

With an annual out-of-pocket maximum that resets at the new year and multiple upcoming reconstruction surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, travel costs, missed work, etc., the expenses are already overwhelming and ongoing through at least 2024. Our goal is to help ease the financial burden of battling breast cancer on a single income, allowing Haven and Bryan to channel their energies where it matters most: her treatment and recovery.

We are deeply grateful for any contributions as it all makes a difference. Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers is greatly appreciated. Your love and support provides immeasurable light and strength in a very dark and uncertain time in their lives.

All funds are going directly to Haven and Bryan.
