Support Hatten Family During Elijah's NICU Journey

Donation protected
Hi,

We are Emily and Ryan Doble (Sister in Law and Brother of Mandy and Brandon).

As some of you may know Mandy and Brandon (Mandon), welcomed baby Elijah Daniel on July 6th, at 35 weeks and 6 days. Throughout Mandy's pregnancy there have been a lot of doctors appointments monitoring Elijah's blood flow and fluids. There were some unexpected stays in the hospital and some very close calls. Through all of this Mandon kept faith that everything would be OK and they would make it through.

Mandy delivered Elijah early, mainly due to concern for his heart and risks for clotting and an aneurism. He was only 4 lbs 1 oz. After he made his appearance an Echo and EKG have shown some concern but nothing urgent and something they will continue to monitor. He will eventually need a CT scan but he is too small right now. They are currently waiting on results from an MRI. He is also showing low platelets with no explanation why and he is being monitored via EEG to check for any seizure activity, which has so far been clear. They are currently working on getting him enough nutrition and maintain his body temperature. His bilirubin is fluctuating so he is on and off the blue lights, which make snuggles hard.

Mandy has been discharged from the hospital and, for the time being, they are able to stay in a room at the Ronald McDonald house down the road. Even though this helps there will still be significant financial burdens. Medical bills, food bills from having to eat out constantly while in the NICU, gas from having to travel home to see Lincoln and Noah who are anxiously awaiting little brothers arrival home, along with time lost with not being able to return to work when they planned.

If you have had the pleasure to know Mandy or Brandon, you know they are the most generous and loving people. Always helping others in need, even when they are struggling themselves. They have unwavering faith in God and his path for them as individuals and as a family. They are amazing parents to Lincoln and Noah (and now baby Elijah). The stress it has on parents to balance time in a NICU vs time at home with children who need you and who don't fully understand what is going on is hard. No amount of money can take the stress away from having a sick baby in the NICU for an unknown amount of time and unknown issues, but we can make it a little easier by taking away the financial burden as much as we can.

Please consider donating to this amazing family even if it is only $5, anything helps.
