I am fundraising on behalf of Hassan, a Palestinian physiotherapist who refuses to surrender to despair. Despite both his house and university being destroyed in the war, he remains determined to fulfil his dreams and become a great doctor.

I met Hassan many years ago, when he travelled to my hometown as part of a group called Gaza Parkour - he was a dancer, with a contagious enthusiasm and love for life, which he hasn't lost. He has asked me to help him share his words and his dreams:

"My name is Hassan Taha, and I am more than just a physiotherapist; I am a dreamer and a believer in the power of education to transform lives. In the heart of the Gaza Strip, amidst the chaos of war, I still dare to dream of a brighter future—a future shaped by knowledge and expertise, a future where I could make a difference in the lives of others.

I was pursuing my master's degree in physiotherapy at Al Azhar University, wanting to excel and become a true professional in my field. But then, tragedy struck. War ravaged my homeland, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake. My house, my sanctuary, was reduced to rubble. The university where I nurtured my dreams was destroyed, along with every shred of hope I held dear.

Now, I am faced with an uncertain future—a future where my dreams may never come true. Nonetheless, a flicker of hope remains. With your help, I can turn the tide of adversity and breathe life into my aspirations once more.
