Our dear Harvey Stahr was admitted to the hospital with breathing difficulties at 6 weeks old. He ended up with paraflu and pneumonia and was in breathing support and oxygen in the PICU for a week.
After being home for a day and a half, he was readmitted after he started struggling again. He needed breathing support and oxygen for 9 days and this time tested negative for viruses/bacterial infections. They did a myriad of tests to determine what underlying condition could be causing his breathing difficulties.
Thankfully, we ruled out severe reflux/aspiration, lung issues, and heart issues. The doctors now believe he has some sort of obstruction in his upper airway that made it so that he couldn't breathe while sick. We are finally home, but need to meet with ENT for further testing. And there is a possibility that we will run into this issue every time he gets sick depending on what is causing the problem.
We would appreciate any help you can provide to help with the medical bills from all the specialists, hospital stay, and tests. Especially since we still may have a ways to go on this journey and we are down an income with Zack currently being unemployed.
