Meet Harsheetaa Sai - our 8-year-old heart warrior, our only child. She was born with multiple heart defects.

It's a Heterotaxy with Single Ventricle, Left Isomerism, and Dextrocardia. In simple words, she was born with half a heart.

She has undergone multiple open-heart surgeries since she was a year old, but unfortunately, it didn’t help her much. Her oxygen saturation level is dropping, and now she is dangerously around the lower 70s. It is heartbreaking for us to see her oxygen level dropping significantly throughout the years and seeing her struggle with her daily routines with local doctors who gave up on her. So, here we are at Boston Children's Hospital to get the treatment and surgery done with a lot of hope. She had two open-heart surgeries done on April 30th at Boston Children’s Hospital, and unfortunately, her recovery is not as predicted. She has another blood clot by her liver and went through another surgery. Since then, it’s ongoing tests on her. Now we are clueless, not knowing how long it will take for her to heal and moreover not knowing the outcome, and financially it is costing more than we could pay.

We definitely can't keep up with the cost, and getting the treatment here is a significant financial burden for our family. We are finding it difficult to manage our medical expenses.
