Hi everyone!

 

My name is Harsh Arora and I am a 20 years-old professional badminton player with an All India Ranking of 65.

 

In my young career, I already celebrated some success. In 2019, I was a runner-up of Haryana Senior State Championship. In 2020, I won the All India Junior Badminton Tournament (U-19 Male category) held in Bengaluru (all India rank in juniors – 6). Based on this performance, I was selected to represent India in two tournaments in the Netherlands and Germany (Dutch and German Junior Open) in the beginning of 2020. Ever since my childhood, I have the dream to win an international medal for India, and this immense honor has brought me much closer to this dream.

 

Unfortunately the same year, COVID pandemic hit the world and put my dream on hold because all Badminton tournaments got cancelled.

 

The pandemic has allowed me to focus on my training, my physic and technique, and I have worked incredibly hard to improve my play every single day. I am currently ranked 609 in the World in Men’s Singles. But the most important skill for any sportsperson is to compete well under pressure. The only way to practice this is to go out and play in international tournaments where I meet the best badminton players from around the world.

 

Help me make my dream come true and represent Team India abroad by participating in three tournaments in Europe in the beginning of 2022.
