My name is Marc. My cat Harry recently fractured his back left leg. I brought him to the vet for a checkup and then a follow up visit for an x-ray. The vet concluded that Harry has cancer in the bone, and it fractured because the cancer weakened the bone. Now, they have to remove the leg and part of the hip. He has a lot of trouble getting to the litter and occasionally doesn't make it there. The vet said the cost will be from $1500 to $1800. There will be other expenses after that, but I should be able to manage that. He is in pain and needs the surgery as soon as possible. He is being treated at LA Pet Clinic in Los Angeles. The vet and the staff have been so wonderfully helpful. All money goes to the surgery. Thank you for any help.
