Hello. My name is Harry. At the end of August, within 2 weeks' time, my life crumbled. I was admitted to the hospital with stage 5 renal failure. I was put on dialysis. I've lost my car, and unrelated, my license. I can't walk more than 100 feet without needing to rest. I become kind of disoriented, not dizzy but disoriented. With these health problems, as well as being a below-the-knee amputee, I cannot work. My body has overwhelmed me. I've asked for social security. I was told at best, it can take about a year to get. Till then, I am staying on some friends' couch. I need money till that comes in for food. My diet is limited in what I can eat, and I don't have help with that. My phone needs to be kept on so SSI will have a way to reach me, as well as the team of doctors and my health insurance for transportation they provide to appointments. If I flood your social media over this, I'm sorry. But this is life or death to me. Honestly, until the SSI comes in, if I don't have to fight for it, I can stretch only eating one meal a day, and the phone bill is about $300 a month, but that is so demanding for me. I used to make that in 2 days when I did Uber Eats. But now I have nothing. Please help me. I'm begging, I know, but I don't have a choice right now. And if this doesn't help, you'll be seeing me on the freeway exits. I'm not joking.
