Help Harry Scholtz Fight Cancer and Access Life-Saving Treatment

My name is Nickey Scholtz, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my father, Harry Scholtz, a man with a heart of gold who now urgently needs our help.

Harry has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in his stomach and throat—a heartbreaking blow to our family. He is currently in South Africa, where the level of care and access to advanced treatment is limited, especially for aggressive cancers like his. Our goal is to raise funds for better medical care, and if possible, bring him to the United States for more advanced treatment options and a fighting chance.

He can no longer eat or swallow normally. A stent had to be placed in his throat just to allow him to swallow liquids, as the tumor is closing up his esophagus. It’s painful, terrifying, and heartbreaking to watch someone you love suffer in this way.

Harry is the kind of man who would give his last to help someone else. He’s a devoted husband, married to my mom for 35 years, a loving father, and a cherished grandfather to 9 grandchildren. His love, kindness, and generosity have touched countless lives. He has always been the one to step up and give—without ever expecting anything in return.

In 2017, our family endured the unimaginable pain of losing my brother—Harry’s son. Despite this heartbreak, my dad remained strong for all of us. He has carried so much, yet continues to be a pillar of hope and love.

Now, it’s time for him to receive the care and support he truly deserves. Every dollar raised will go toward medical costs, advanced treatment, travel, and any additional expenses related to his care.
