We are reaching out for help on behalf of Harry Pfister- also known as Papa, Dad, Husband, Brother, friend, our favorite goofball. Harry underwent Open Heart Surgery and Quadruple bypass on Wednesday, March 6th. He will also have at least 8 weeks of recovery. He is the backbone, protector, beacon of strength, and light for our family. He’s an extraordinary and selfless man who’s always been there to care for others, bring laughter, and offer unwavering support. Harry and his lovely wife Pauline Pfister would be deeply grateful for any assistance, as his surgery and recovery have created many unexpected financial burdens. We’ve created this GoFundMe in hopes of reducing his stress and any unnecessary strain on his heart.

Harry’s recovery since being released from the ICU/ cardiac care will incorporate at-home nursing, physical therapy, and extensive doctor visits. He initially underwent a procedure to put new stents into place, but doctors discovered abnormal blockages while he was under and couldn’t proceed with the planned operation. From then he was hospitalized for two weeks and kept under the care of the cardiac team until undergoing Open Heart Surgery. Facing Congestive heart failure as he was still recovering from the damage Hurricane Ian had on his home has created unforeseen pressure; compounding the difficulties he's already encountered before his surgery.

With Harry already experiencing two heart attacks, plus now newly diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic, and having open heart surgery/ bypass his top focus is his wellness & health. Harry is one of the greatest men we’ve ever known . He has given the literal shirt off his back to those in need and was one of the hardest workers any of us have witnessed. Any contribution, big or small, would make a significant difference in easing the financial tension and allow Harry to focus all his energy on his healing journey.
